Virtual Reality Rehabilitation – Coming soon!
Due to the convenience and immersive capabilities of the VR headset, virtual reality is an emerging field in vestibular rehabilitation. By creating a realistic scenario, such as a shopping aisle, users are able to transpose into real-life challenges, with the safety and comfort of a therapeutic environment.
Through the multisensory inputs of visual and audio stimulation, the therapist can customize the experience for the user to an appropriate level, enabling the user to interact with the environment for a gradual improvement in perception and balance responses.
Both therapist and client are given real-time feedback, allowing for incremental adjustments and repetitive training opportunities.
