Paul Michael is an Australian registered physiotherapist, who graduated from the University of Queensland in 2001 with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPhty).
Over the years Paul has gained decades of experience with clinical practice in the musculoskeletal field. Ten years ago he extended his interest to the vestibular system and then found himself exploring deeper into the integrated connections of the inner ear, eyes, brain, and cervical spine. At this point, Paul realised that he was in a unique position to help people with complex conditions such as vertigo, concussion, and whiplash.
With a deeper understanding of the holistic picture of the overall health of the patient, and in particular, the brain, Paul has now turned his attention to the all-important influences of gut health and is therefore currently completing a diploma in clinical nutrition. Paul has gained his education and understanding of topics through a wide variety of educators, having completed countless hours in relation to brain/vestibular training through various facilities in both Australia and USA. including the following:
- Neurology Physiotherapy Australia
- Kharrazian institute
- Functional Neurology Seminars
- Brainhub academia
- Advanced Vestibular Courses
- Neuro-elite
- HRV courses
- Switch on Health
Paul has presented weekend seminars on neurological topics around balance, dizziness, and vertigo and he practices clinically on a weekly basis with clients suffering from dizziness, vertigo, whiplash, and concussion. He continues his enthusiasm for concussion awareness as a director on the board of a charity organization, Concussion Australia.
In May 2020, Paul completed an article that collaborates over 60 research articles on the topic of concussion. The article can be found here.
